Become a Kiwanis Member

Have you been looking to do some volunteering for good causes in your community? Do you like helping kids, having fun and feeling like you made a difference? Why not consider joining us and become a member of our Kiwanis club?

The Mission

Service projects often are linked to the Kiwanis program, “Young Children: Priority One.” This initiative focuses on the needs of young children in pediatric trauma, safety, child care, early development, infant health, nutrition and parenting skills.

Service projects also can address other needs within the community, such as combating substance abuse, helping elderly people, promoting literacy, supporting youth sports, responding to disasters, and aiding specific persons or families in need.

Kiwanis also plays a special role in developing future generations of leaders–

  • K-Kids for elementary schools;
  • BuildersClubs for middle schools;
  • Key Clubs for high school schools;
  • Circle K Clubs for colleges;
  • Aktion Clubs for adults with disabilities.

All teach community service and leadership skills.

Kids Matter!

The Commitment

Kiwanis clubs view their role within their respective communities with a great deal of foresight. Key aspects to operating an effective club include:

  • evaluating children’s issues and community needs on an ongoing basis;
  • conducting service projects to respond to those identified needs;
  • maintaining an active membership roster of people who have the desire and ability to serve their community.
  Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

Club meetings offer an atmosphere of fun, learning and fellowship. In addition to attending meetings, Kiwanians have volunteer opportunities assisting with club service projects.
